APPLICATION PROCEDURES

a. Joint Preparation             Clean joint surface of loose particles, laitances, oil and grease with compressed air or
                                            sand blasting.
b. Back-up Material           Insert back-up material to assure correct designed joint size, and to prevent three-sided joints.
                                            closed cell type such as polyethylene is recommended.
c. Masking                          For neat straight edges apply masking tape along the joint flanks.
d. Primer coating                Coat with EP100 using a brush on the joint flanks (Consumption:0.3kf/m2).
                                            Make sure the primer is dry and tack free before filling with EP100 or EP100(L).
e. Mixing                            Mix thoroughly base and curing agent in the proportions as delivered.
f. Placing the Sealant          Fill joints with caulking gun or plastic pouring can.
                                            It is important to keep mixed sealant free of air bubbles.
g. Tooling                           Surplus sealant is then removed with suitable tools(spatula, etc) and smoothed concave finish.
h. Removing of masking    Masking tape should be removed immediately after tape finish tooling of sealant is accomplished
                                            and before the sealant begins to cure.
i. Cleaning                           Sealant which has not hardened on tools, hands or clothing can be removed with suitable solvents.
                                            Hardened material can only be mechanically removed.
